Designed originally by Ron Garl, Timacuan was renovated by TPC Architect Bobby Weed in the late 1990’s.
The new Mini-Verde putting greens look and putt amazing, and those that have played say they are among the best in Orlando. The championship layout at Timacuan Golf Club has long been recognized as one of the purest and most enjoyable tests of golf in Central Florida. The course features two very different nines: The rolling front nine is links-style with deep pot bunkers. Watch the wind and keep it low! The back nine is tree-lined with lots of pine and feels more like a Northern course. It features several doglegs you won’t forget. Timacuan was a US Open Qualifying site in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016. Water comes into play on about 10 holes with the 2nd Hole one voted as one of the toughest in Central Florida.
